Here's how you can help.....
The White Lion was a thriving local pub and many people are concerned about losing it to housing development.
The building has been bought by a developer and we have already fought to get an initial planning application REFUSED and are currently fighting a second application.
We are an energetic Committee but are after new blood and support. Particular skills in finance, campaigning and pub management are needed, but most important is enthusiasm and support for your local community.
You don’t need to have been a White Lion customer or even a regular pub-goer, your support in this venture would be valued.

Over the last few years, we have already lost all of these locals in this part of Aldershot: La Fontaine, The Wheelwright Arms, The Prince Albert, The Heron, The Queens Head, The Heroes of Lucknow, The White Swan, The Beehive, The Prince of Wales, The Lord Clyde, plus others.
These are all now shops, houses or flats.
Soon we will have nowhere left to meet within walking distance of our homes and it will soon be too late to do anything about it.
Come and support us and show that there’s a real demand to get the White Lion reopened.
1. Sign Up To Our Mailing List
Get involved by joining our mailing list – this is our record of who and how many are interested. The mailing list, in addition to our website, is also our means of communicating with everyone who has an interest in re-opening the White Lion.
The committee hold regular meetings, via Skype, and endeavour to advise the latest updates on this website.
We have a relatively small committee at the moment who are committed to achieving the re-opening of the White Lion. As we progress to achieving our aims we have found a need for different areas of support and expertise and are currently looking for committee members.
2. Pledge
Express financial support for the pub by donating to the campaign.
Any amount is vital to our campaign and we, as a committee are thankful for any amounts received.
3. Spread The Word

4. Buy Shares (Coming Soon)
As a shareholder, you would become a part owner of the pub with an equal say in how it is run. When finances allow we may be able to pay interest.
Profits from running the White Lion will be ploughed back into the pub to secure it’s future, not pay a third party owner.
